Bless has 24 years of experience in the electricity industry, specialising in system planning and investment of transmission and distribution networks. In his role as Director of Strategic Energy Planning, Bless is leading the development of strategic long-term energy plans and electricity transmission network investment in the north of Scotland, where he works for SSEN Transmission. This is a critical role in the energy industry as the electricity transmission network is a key enabler in our transition to net zero. Bless is at the forefront of the development of the industry-leading target-led strategic area system planning, and he actively contributes to the development of the network planning methodologies in Great Britain.
