Joris Soens has been active in the energy sector throughout his entire career. After a PhD thesis about the impact of wind power in the electricity grid, he started working for the Flemish Energy Regulator VREG.

Since 2011, Joris is working for the DSO in Flanders (Belgium), which became Fluvius in 2018. There, he took several positions as regulatory affairs expert and head of Deparmtment assets & grid architecture.

Since 2022, Joris is Transition Manager at Fluvius. In that role, he oversees all the initiatives that Fluvius has to take to be ready for the Energy Transition.
